🇺🇸 Veterans Day Parade 🇺🇸

Calhoun City Schools is proud to host this year's Veterans Day celebration in downtown Calhoun. We will honor the sacrifices of the brave men and women in our community. This will be a half-day for students, allowing everyone to participate. We invite local businesses, community groups, veterans, active-duty service members, and their families to join in this meaningful event. Your participation will help make this celebration truly special!

Emerald Otters

The Emerald Otters have been learning about Election Day and how voting works! We spent time this week reading “Duck for President” by Doreen Cronin, which follows the journey of Duck as he campaigns to lead the farm. After reading the book, students created their own voter ID card, and prepared to vote in our classroom election of Duck vs. Farmer Brown. Students lined the wall with anticipation, and were called one by one to come down to the voting booth to cast their ballot! When everyone had cast their vote, we worked together to count the votes. The Otters are proud to say that Duck has been elected President by our class!
