Silver Sloths working on counting numbers 1-10. We pulled a number out and counted that many cubes with our partners. Silver sloths also enjoyed writing about the little girl and the bear from their story of the week called "Horrible Bear."
At Calhoun City Schools we believe a partnership between school and home is essential for the development of foundational literacy skills. Also, you can click the following link to learn how you can help support your child’s development of foundational reading skills. The Rainbow Fish spent the week investigating and participating in pumpkin activities. They ordered pumpkins from biggest to smallest and used nonstandard units of measurements to measure the height. The Fish explored and investigated parts of a pumpkin including the inside of the flesh and seeds. They did a science experiment to see if pumpkins float or sink. It was a great week.
